Rest in peace - Sep 18, 2007

On Sept 16th, a great voice was silenced, Rest in peace Robert Jordan.

What follows are a few quotes from his work, I leave it to the reader to recognize the value of the statements and how they apply to the lifestyle and how we live and should live.

"All I have is a sword, and a war I cannot win, but I can never stop fighting."
"The Creator made women to please the eyes and trouble the mind."
"Duty is heavier than a mountain, death lighter than a feather."
"You can never know everything, and a part of what you know is always wrong. Perhaps even the most important part. A portion of wisdom lies in knowing that. A portion of courage lies in going on anyway."
"I'll never forget the first time Davram took me by the scruff of my neck and showed me he was the stronger of us. It was magnificent! If a woman is stronger than her husband, she comes to despise him. She has the choice of either tyrannizing him or else making herself less in order not to make him less. If the husband is strong enough, though, she can be as strong as she is, as strong as she can grow to be."

So rest in peace, and let your work stand on it's own merit now.
