What price love?

When we met it was a breath of fresh air
Seeking love to find if I dare
You responded to me in kind
My love did grow with this find
Time passed and things changed alot
I was forced to be someone I was not
I did it for my love for you
But I died inside for not being true
My friends, they did warn
But I would not risk your scorn
A love given and not returned
My feelings inside they did burn
My heart, torn from my chest
Blinded by love, crying with no rest
A balance to be reached, but no hope
But change I must before the end of the rope

A love beyond what most have not felt\
\ Each day loving Him more than than life itself\
\ It just seems it all happened so fast\
\ Not knowing what to do or say\
\ I regret this more every day\
\ Mistakes I have made and now I know\
\ That it was I would did not show\
\ The love inside my heart so deep\
\ The woman who many nights could not sleep\
\ But never regretting the love she shared\
\ Even though the last months she was so scared\
\ He is my everything my heart?s only desire\
\ He is my life until the day I expire\
\ Prayers that one day this one may be\
\ The women that He wants to see\
\ That we can find our way together again\
\ It will be the very best it every could have been

The two of you are a beautiful heartache. It's a weird comfort to know people still suffer for love. That not everyone has a cookie-cutter relationship that is easily dismissed. Enjoy the heaviness in your chest from the pain, it's more than most have.
